I study the interaction of inflammation and mechanical loading in endochondral ossification, having osteoarthritis as the disease of interest. My research seeks to develop a loading protocol that will allow for a mechanically-regulated endochondral ossification response; I will be examining the effects of selected anti-inflammatory mediators/compounds.
