Fatma Scerif

Dr Fatma Scerif (BSc, MSc, PhD)

Postdoctoral Researcher; ReGen group, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.


Fatma is a molecular biologist who obtained her BSc and MSc at Queen Mary University of London, followed by a PhD at the Institute of Child Health, University College London. In collaboration with the Medical Research Council, the Kennedy Trust has awarded Fatma a three-year Daphne Jackson Fellowship to support her return to scientific research after a six-year career break. Fatma’s current research explores the use of Agrin to promote cartilage formation in the treatment of obesity-induced osteoarthritis.
