My project aims to use epigenetic modulation to rejuvenate aged stromal progenitors that have lost cell potency. Measuring functional parameters of MSCs in vitro such as proliferation and osteochondral differentiation in the presence of small molecule inhibitors of epigenetic enzymes allows us to identify important targets for the manipulation of the functional decline of these cells.
