Since her undergraduate days Emma has been fascinated by endocrinology in general and bone in particular.  Her basic research spans the genetics of many endocrine disorders, from common variant to rare monogenic diseases, and she is actively engaged in translating genetic technologies into clinical practice.  Emma has also led many clinical research projects in diabetes and endocrinology; and she is a thought-leader in bone diseases internationally.
