My research group is interested in understanding why implants fail and in creating new materials that can better direct desirable (regenerative) responses. Current project areas are: 1) bone and osteochondral tissue engineering; 2) HIF-mimicking materials; 3) bioactive glasses; 4) breast and orthopaedic implant failure; 5) nanoparticle-biological interactions.
